Supervisors Candidate Debate

January 31, 2024

A lifelong resident and advocate for Shasta County, Win Carpenter is running for District 3 Board of Supervisor. Win was raised in Shasta County, specifically McArthur, leaving briefly to attend university and start his career. However, he and his wife were eager to return to raise their family among the community they know and love.

With deep roots in the area spanning seven generations, Win is heavily invested in the future and wellbeing of Shasta County. Through his engagement with local organizations like the Shasta GOP Republican Central Committee, Palo Cedro Chamber of Commerce, and East Redding Little League, he has contributed to important community building efforts.

If elected, Win is committed to continuing his service by representing and addressing the needs of District 3 residents. His experience participating in county politics and groups has prepared him to take on this leadership role. Combined with his enthusiasm and passion, Win has the skills and motivation to work hard for his district as supervisor.

Win says, “I am ready to serve.” He welcomes the chance to make a positive difference in Shasta County through civic participation at the county government level.

I Support :

  • Elimination of impact fees.
  • The Charter County proposal versus remaining a General County.  When needed, Shasta County must fill office vacancies, not the Governor!
  • Full investigation of the Zogg Fire lawsuit and monetary disbursement.
  • Law enforcement at all levels while the Constitution is being honored.
  • The County selling its excess inventory properties
  • A multi-county collaboration to research the possible use of the High Desert Prison in Lassen County for long-term prisoners to alleviate local jail overcrowding with participating counties.
  • Operating as a Constitutional Republic versus a democracy.
  • The operation of Tonkin Field Airport in Fall River Mills.
  • A Republican form of government VS a democracy.
  • Forensic Audits of various county departments.
  • The Second Amendment.  Shasta County needs to be a Constitutional Carry county.
  • Fair and transparent elections with traceable and verifiable data.
  • Repair or replace County roads and bridges where necessary.
  • Line item budget approval for every county department,

I Do Not Support:

  • The Fountain Wind Project
  • Any imposition from the State on legislative or executive matters under the jurisdiction of the Board of Supervisors of Shasta County.
  • Any Mandates for Shasta County, no matter the issue.

Win Carpenter, “Ready To Serve”.

Shasta County, District 3.
